EyesOn Design is proud to announce the distinguished leaders who will guide the 39th annual automotive design celebration at the historic Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores.

Bryan Nesbitt, Vice President of General Motors Global Design, has been selected as Honorary Chairman, while Matthew Rossetti, President and CEO of Rossetti Architecture, will serve as Grand Marshal. Together, they bring a unique perspective that bridges automotive design excellence and architectural innovation—a pairing that reflects EyesOn Design's commitment to celebrating design as a multidisciplinary art form.

Both leaders will participate in the weekend of events, including the black-tie Vision Honored gala honoring 2026 Lifetime Design Achievement Award recipient Gorden Wagener on June 19, and the main car show on Father's Day, June 21. Each will select a vehicle from among the 250+ entries to receive their respective awards, continuing a tradition that recognizes excellence in automotive design from the perspective of design professionals.

EyesOn Design announces that Bryan Nesbitt, Vice President, General Motors Global Design, has been selected as Honorary Chairman for EyesOn Design 2026.

An Honors Graduate of Art Center College of Design, Bryan is only the 8th person to serve as head of GM's global design function in the company's history.

Cadillac's stunning concept vehicles Opulent Velocity and SOLLEI – both of which received EyesOn Design Awards at the 2025 Detroit Auto Show – were created under his guidance.

As Honorary Chairman for EyesOn Design at Ford House, Bryan will preside over the June 21 car show and weekend of events in metro-Detroit, and select a vehicle to receive the Honorary Chairman's award.

Grand Marshal: Matthew Rossetti

Matthew Rossetti

President and CEO of Detroit-based architectural firm Rossetti, Matthew Rossetti has been selected as Grand Marshal for EyesOn Design 2026.

Matt will join car designers and design educators at the 39th annual car show at the historic Grosse Pointe Shores estate of Edsel & Eleanor Ford, and will select a vehicle to receive the Grand Marshal's award.

A third-generation architect, Matt embraces a philosophy which integrates intense design rigor with a unifying, collegial process.

This philosophy is reflective of that of EyesOn Design, which is unique among car shows in its exclusive emphasis on design. All proceeds from the event support the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology (DIO), and its congresses which bring researchers from around the world to collaborate on advances in artificial vision, and issues related to the eye and safe operation of a motor vehicle.

Lifetime Design Achievement Award: Gorden Wagener

Gorden Wagener

A group of the world's top automotive designers has selected Gorden Wagener, chief design officer for Mercedes-Benz Group AG, as the winner of the 2026 EyesOn Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award for his outstanding career in vehicle design.

The award is unique as the recipient is chosen exclusively by previous winners of the award. Previous recipients include Nuncio Bertone, Syd Mead, Sergio Pininfarina, Chuck Pelly, Ed Welburn, Bob Lutz, Willie G. Davidson, Giorgetto Giugiaro, Ian Callum and more.
